Lets face it, no-one can accurately predict who will hit it off together.  Human Chemistry just doesn't work that way. Its not rocket science, the more people you meet, the more likely you will meet someone with whom you just click.  That's why speed dating is so successful. Not only do you increase your chances of finding someone special - its also fun. We guide you through the process and set the ground rules so that everyone is relaxed and eager to mingle.

You will meet 10 (or more) singles - genuinely looking to meet someone themselves, for a 6 minute "date" before moving on to your next date.  The purpose of speed dating is to determine if two people have any interest in each other. This doesn't take more than a couple of minutes to decide. If two singles independently choose to "match" each other, then and only then are the couple's email (or mobile number) exchanged. We email this information to matching couples by the end of the next business day. Your details are safe. Email addresses are only forwarded when BOTH singles match each other.  No-one knows whether you selected them as a match on the night.

Suggested age range.  20 - 45 yrs.  Note, for larger groups we will organise for you to meet a narrower age range, closer to your own.   

 Dress - Smart casual. The boat is heated internally but we suggest you bring a jacket, especially to take advantage of the verandah areas and the scenic Blue Mountains & Nepean Gorge. We recommend that low heeled shoes be worn onboard.  

Location - Our Jetty is located in Tench Ave Penrith, adjacent to the M4 Motorway bridge. Parking in the gated carparks.

SPEED DATING DO'S 

1. Smile and use the other person's name. 

2. Ask about the other person using open ended questions, those which cannot be answered with a yes or no.

 3. Answer questions briefly and then give away a small amount of information about yourself. 

4. Use eye contact and open body language. 

5. Be open to the possibilities - sometimes first impressions are wrong or our expectations unrealistic! 

6. Feel free to be a little silly or flirt a little. The idea is to have fun.

SPEED DATING DON'TS 

1. Talk negatively about ex relationships. 

2. Bad mouth other daters. We treat others here respectfully. Talking someone down can be interpreted as you being insecure or even nasty.

 3. No crossing of the arms. - Its closed body language.

 4. Don't mention your employment or home address - just your type of work & your general area. You can discuss these details later if there is a mutual match.

 5. Don't do all the talking. You also need to listen to learn about the other person. 

6. Don't ask a person for phone numbers or addresses. If there is a mutual match you will receive each others email or phone number the next business day.
